Naty Alvarado Jr.
Hesperia, Calif.
Naty Alvarado Jr. is currently ranked No. 2 on the
Simple Green/USHA Pro Tour… Alvarado won his first pro
stop of his career with a win over No. 1 David Chapman,
21-14, 17-15, injury default at pro stop #2 in Concord,
Calif. in 1998…. Alvarado is the son of arguably the
greatest handball player of all time…. He is now making
a name for himself as one of the most prominent handball
players in the nation…Alvarado is quick, fast, athletic
and has plenty of power and never hesitates to shoot…
His serve is recognized as one of the best on the tour….
Alvarado’s overall serve-and-shoot style combined with
raw speed and a solid defense put him in his first
national singles final title last year…Alvarado has been
a consistent semifinalist on the pro tour the past two
years and always is a challenge.

Dan Armijo
Albuquerque, N.M.
Dan Armijo is currently ranked No. 10 on the Simple
Green/USHA Pro Tour…. Armijo had one of his best
tournaments in his career in Lincoln, Neb. this season at
Pro Stop #1…. Armijo upset Danny Bell of Quebec and
Tyler Hamel of Houston… Armijo ended up finishing third,
his best career finish at a pro event… A long time
veteran playing on the tour for over 15 years… In recent
years has been a regular qualifying at the qualifiers and
still manages to make it to most pro stops…. Is known
for his tenacity and ability to run all over the court…
Armijo also has the ability to run his opponents all over
the court

may be out, he is at the next pro stop.
Danny Bell
Quebec City, Quebec, Canada
Danny Bell is currently ranked No. 8 on the Simple
Green/USHA Pro Tour… Often considered the tour’s elder
statesman at the age of 40…. Bell is known as the most
acrobatic retriever on the pro tour… For Bell, between
the legs, behind the back, whatever it takes to get the
ball to the back wall is what drives this Canadian
hero…Bell’s other key asset is consistency… Bell
always comes through in the clutch and has maintained a
high ranking on the Simple Green/USHA Pro Tour despite
missing crucial stops… Bell is in excellent condition
and matches up well against the top players in the game…
A tradition for Bell is defeating higher ranked pros… In
1998, Bell flirted with retiring from the pro tour but
felt great at the beginning of the season and is ready to
tackle yet another year and then some…
- An intelligent player…He can run down most
of your shots.
John Bike Jr.
Hesperia, Calif.
John Bike Jr. is currently ranked No. 4 on the Simple
Green/USHA Pro Tour…Bike is known as the game’s most
powerful player…. Bike entertains the fans with his
two-handed power and good will on the court…Over the
last 14 years; Bike has played in over 280 tournaments and
conducted over 400 clinics and exhibitions... Considered a
tour veteran and was a dominant force in the early to
mid-90s…Still a crowd favorite today with his size and
power, he can beat anyone any given tournament…On the
court Bike uses his athleticism and plays on adrenaline
and instinct…. Bike is deemed as one of the greatest
retrievers of the game…
- Raw Power… Get out the radar gun when
you play this guy!
Paul Brady
Co. Cavan, Ireland
After winning the National Collegiate Championship in
2000, Brady set his sights on the USHA/Simple Green Pro
Tour. Trekking from Ireland to participate in each Pro
Stop shows the dedication Brady posseses for the Perfect
Game. That dedication has paid off in the 2001-2002 season
as he is ranked 5th. Brady has consistently climbed up the
rankings in each of the last five Pro Stops and will make
a run at the top-four.
- Continuing a tremendous run... Look for him
break into the top four.
David Chapman
St. Louis, Mo.
Currently the best player in the game…. Chapman is
currently the top-ranked pro on the tour… Chapman has
struggled this year losing the number-one ranking for a
brief period but regained the top spot after a win in
Sacramento... Chapman has been winning national titles
since he was nine years old…As quick witted as he is on
the court, the Southwest Missouri State Star plans to
rewrite the record books and become the game’s newest
legend…Chapman is a crowd favorite due to his uncanny
dump shots and remarkable anticipation and amazing
gets…At the age of 26, Chapman has many years of
competition and improvement ahead of him… Chapman so
far, has won all but five pro stops in his last three
years of competition… his losses include Concord and St.
Louis in 1999, San Francisco, Lincoln and Milwaukee in
2000… Look for Chapman to begin a new streak in the
following year and return to the winner's circle.
- Error free… You know you have to earn all
your points against him.
Marcos Chavez
Buena Park, Calif.
Worked his way into the Top 12 with fast feet,
aggressive offense and hard work. "When you're not as
talented as others, you have to run some to be more
competitive." Marcos says. There's a lot of talent in
the Chavez family though, and Marcos is at the top of the
clan. Started playing at the age of nine and stopped after
the juniors at the age of fourteen. "I got back into
it when I was 22," he explained. "My dad (Art)
sent me to play Vince (Munoz). I didn't even know who
Vince was, but my dad wanted to get me away from messing
with cars and sent me to the club." The best part of
his game are his fly kills from the backwall. He plans on
be a regular fixture on the Simple Green/USHA Pro Tour.
"I love playing with the Pros. That was my goal, and
I want to stay there as long as I can."
- When he's hot... the points come in a hurry!
Norm Dunne
San Jose, Calif.
Norm Dunne is currently ranked No. 7 on the Simple
Green/USHA Pro Tour…Dunne has been consistent with his
game managing to stay in the top-10 since he qualified in
Victorville in 1999…. Dunne highest ranking ever was No.
6 back in early 2000… Is very powerful and athletic for
his size… Will sacrifice his body to get any shot and
every shot….Dunne has shot up the rankings in the past
year going from a regular at the qualifiers to a top-10
ranked pro… Dunne consistency has helped solidify his
position in the rankings… In Atlanta and San Francisco
this year, Dunne has finished as high as fourth, his best
finishes on tour.
- Guaranteed to walk off the court with bloody
knees… He is guaranteed to give it his all.
Tyler Hamel
Houston, Texas
Tyler Hamel is currently ranked No.6 on the Simple
Green/USHA Pro Tour… Hamel made the semifinals for the
first time in his pro career in Dallas (February
1996)…Ever since he has shown consistent improvement…
Hamel’s peers on the pro tour consider him as a
threat…He can beat anyone… His long-time underdog
status, coupled with his improving talents has given rise
to "Hamelmania" in many parts of the country…
Hamel spends a lot of his time practicing and is becoming
one of the best percentage players on the pro tour…
Hamel has been either really good on tour this year, or
not so good… In Atlanta last year, Hamel finished
second, his best finish ever losing to Chapman in the
final… Hamel is definitely one not to count out in a
battle… He will be back!

Tony Healy
Co. Cork, Ireland
Currently ranked No. 12 on the Simple Green/USHA Pro
Tour... A very nice lad who exemplifies true sportsmanship
throughout his matches... A smooth shooter with little
trace of the popular "Irish Whip" in his game.
Began his ascent winning numerous junior titles in Ireland
and the U.S. 1999 was a glorious year for Healy starting
with his February trip to Illinois, where he won the Open
Singles Title at the USHA National Collegiates - the first
time the title was taken by a European. Was named Player
of the Year for '99 at the Waterford Crystal Awards
Banquet at the Cusach Club in April 2000. Represented
Ireland in the Men's Open Waterford Crystal World
Championships.

Matt Hiber
St. Paul, Minn.
Matt Hiber is currently ranked No. 14 on the
Simple Green/USHA Pro Tour… Hiber is a Court
Sports Program Manager at the University of Minnesota,
site of the 2000 USHA Four-Wall Nationals… Hiber, a
’93 graduate of Memphis State Univ. and a protegé of
Charlie Mazzone, graduated with a degree in accounting…
Hiber is now teaching a handball class in the winter
quarter and he thinks it’s helped him think about his
own game and rejuvenated his enthusiasm for it... The
30-year-old redhead’s strength is his all-around game
and back-wall killshot…
- Known as Mr. Backwall… Give him a back wall
shot and the rally is over.
James Komsthoeft
San Francisco, Calif.
James Komsthoeft is currently ranked No. 17 on the
Simple Green/USHA Pro Tour… Komsthoeft recently
graduated and passed the bar in California… he trains at
the famous Olympic Club… Considered your average pro
with a hard work ethic and tries to defeat his opponents
by wearing them down…."When someone sees me play
for the first time, I want them to think, I’ve never
seen anyone play as hard as that!"… Two words that
describe Komsthoeft best, Big Left… Komsthoeft has been
on the pro tour for six years and has been playing
handball for 14 years… Komstoeft is a 4-time All
American at Lake Forest College… Komsthoeft is a threat
to the top-8 seeded pros… You better be ready to play
and play hard when facing Komsthoeft.
- Good Hustle… Other players call him
"Nails" for his relentless effort on the
court.
Kendell Lewis
Brooklyn, New York
Kendell Lewis has come a long way. Lewis is one of the
top one-wall players there is in New York City and is now
making name for himself in the game of four-wall. Lewis
qualified for the first time in Kansas City late last year
in 2000. Lewis who found himself down two games and 7-5 in
the third game, rallied back to win the third, the fourth
and fifth to qualify. Lewis did not stop there as he ended
up winning the qualifier defeating Allie Abdulla of Rancho
Cordova, Calif. Lewis has lost in the first round in both
the first and second pro stop of this year, however, he
has been a finalist in the consolation bracket. Lewis has
established a No. 16 ranking after only two-pro stops and
is now ranked No. 21.
- Extremely quick… He cuts everything off up
front utilizing his one-wall skills.
Tommy Little III
Mound City, Kan.
Tommy Little, who is trying to erase the name of "tiebreaker
Tommy"… has qualified for the first time
after numerous, tiebreaker losses in the qualifying
match… Little is ranked No. 15 on tour and still has yet
to crack the top-12, which would give him an automatic
invitation to the next pro stop… Little has been playing
in handball tournaments his whole life… he was
introduced to the game by his father, a CPA in a small
town, Mound City, south of Kansas City… Little has been
a regular on the qualifier circuit waiting for his chance
to make it on the pro tour… Little is a fierce
competitor and could make some noise on tour…
- New on tour, however, he could make some
noise.
Vince Munoz
Whittier, Calif.
Vince Munoz is currently ranked No. 3 on the Simple
Green/USHA Pro Tour… Munoz missed the first pro stop of
the 2000-01 season, but made his presence known at Pro
Stop #2 in Milwaukee where he pounded Chapman in four
games in the final….Pound for pound no one can match the
power and speed Munoz has…Most of his peers agree Munoz
sets up on the ball quicker than anyone in the game today
and he brings out his best in any match with his dynamic,
all-out offensive attack… Munoz is the Pro Tour’s most
reserved personality until he gets onto the court and
displays his array of two-handed shots and incredible gets
as he uses his speed to run down just about anything his
opponents hit…Munoz is really known for his three-wall
play as he slammed in the singles and doubles at the ’96
USHA Three-Wall Nationals… Munoz has won the singles
event at the last three nationals (’96, ’97 ,’98,
& ‘99)… Munoz has made himself one to reckon with
dominating on the tour… Munoz won his first pro stop of
his career in St. Louis in ’99 defeating a young David
Silveyra… Munoz has added to his titles winning his
second and third pro stop defeating No. 1 Dave Chapman in
San Francisco and Milwaukee this year…
- Flattens the ball from anywhere. If you give
him any kind of set up, forget about it.
Chris Rusing
Seatlle, Wash.
Chris Rusing is currently ranked No. 19 on the Simple
Green/USHA Pro Tour… Rusing is known for his power and
love of playing the game low and hard… Rusing is a
regular on the Pro Tour competing in the last nine pro
stops… Rusing has been known for lacking consistency…
Rusing is known for shooting sprees that leave his
opponents in the dust and power that can compete with all
the top pros… When Rusing is on a roll and playing his
game do not be surprised if he comes out on top… Lately
Rusing has been a regular at qualifiers having fallen out
of the top-12… Rusing is one who juggles his time around
going to law school and still competing consistently on
the pro circuit…
- Can hit the ball harder than anyone and has a
reach that is incredible.
David Silveyra
Whittier, Calif.
David Silveyra is currently ranked No. 11 on the Simple
Green/USHA Pro Tour… Silveyra is one of the youngest
pros in the top-12 at the age of 23… Silveyra is a
product of Tony Huante’s successful program out of
Southern California… Silveyra is the brother of the
currently ranked No. 7 Tati Silveyra… D. Silveyra is
known for his smooth style and poise which has helped him
through the qualifying rounds to advance on to the pro
tour….Silveyra and his brother made history competing
against each other, a first for brothers to compete each
other on the pro tour, in 1998 at the Detroit pro stop….
David lost to his brother Tati, 16 and 9… D. Silveyra
has been consistent through ’99 and 2000 season
constantly winning in the first round and solidifying his
top-10 ranking… In St. Louis in ’99 D. Silveyra
experienced his biggest win on tour defeating No. 1 Dave
Chapman on his home court in St. Louis…. Silveyra went
on to lose in the final to Vince Munoz… Silveyra has
proven himself as one of the top-four pros on tour… he
finished fourth at the Milwaukee Pro Stop #2 this past
year.
- Great Hands… Always seems to win the ugly
rallies.
Dane Szatkowski
Chicago, Ill.
Who is this kid? That was the question many were asking
of the 21-year-old out of Chicago… Szatkowski first
qualified in Peoria this past winter, losing to John Davis
in the final… ever since, he has made his presence known
on tour… Szatkowski’s first win on tour came at the
expense of No. 5 John Bike Jr. in Atlanta in an 11-10
tiebreaker… Szatkowski is searching for his second win
on the tour circuit, and is feared by some of the top-10
ranked pros… He is known for getting off to a slow
start, normally losing the first game… but do not count
him out as he can last as long as his opponent can…
Szatkowski recently won his first pro qualifier defeating
Tommy Little in an 11-5 tiebreaker in Tucson… Szatkowski
is currently ranked No. 20 on the Simple Green/USHA pro
tour.
- No matter what, it will go to a tiebreaker…
The question is, who will win!
Anton Wilson
Fresno, Calif.
Anton Wilson is currently ranked No. 8 on the Simple
Green/USHA Pro Tour… Wilson is working harder than ever
to obtain optimum performance…He is known for his
championship caliber serve and powerful offhand… Wilson
qualified for the tour in Des Moines in 1998 and has not
looked back since… In 1999, at the pro stop in
Watsonville, Calif., Wilson managed to shock the pro tour
finishing fourth with wins over Naty Alvarado Jr. and Dan
Armijo… When Wilson is on his game, you better be ready
to dig and play hard… Has been consistent since ’99 to
keep his top-10 ranking and off the qualifier circuit….
Wilson is someone you will fret if you face off with him
in the first round.
- Big & Strong… Wilson can upset any of
the top-ranked pros.
